L’accident survenu samedi 16 août aux environs de 14 heures à hauteur de Thiadiaye a fait une nouvelle victime. Le chauffeur du car « Ndiaga Ndiaye », grièvement blessé, a succombé à ses blessures, portant à cinq le nombre de décès.
Un grave accident de la circulation est survenu samedi 16 août vers 14 heures sur la route nationale, à hauteur de Thiadiaye. Selon les premiers témoignages, un camion qui tentait d’éviter un véhicule particulier est entré en collision avec un car de transport en commun, communément appelé « Ndiaga Ndiaye ».
Le choc a été d’une extrême violence, causant la mort sur le coup de 4 personnes et faisant une vingtaine de blessés, dont six dans un état jugé grave. Le chauffeur du « Ndiaga Ndiaye », qui faisait partie des blessés, a finalement rendu l’âme dans la soirée du dimanche 17 août , portant le bilan à six morts.
Par ailleurs, un autre accident a été signalé le même jour, toujours sur la route nationale, cette fois à hauteur de Sandiara, accentuant l’inquiétude des usagers face à la recrudescence des drames routiers.
